Valerie Paredis (°1997) works as a freelancer at the intersection of technical production and artistic (collaborative) practice. She works as a graphic designer, web developer and lighting and sound technician. In her practice, she moves between digital and physical spaces, where technology, social and artistic processes intersect.
She explores how this hybrid practice can create scope for artists, how events generate social spaces, and how collective practices develop within urban and artistic contexts. Her artistic practice draws on collections and observations of everyday life, mapping patterns and behaviours within private and public spaces, alongside the tension and movement between them.
